Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility

On Wednesday 14 July 2010 David Capstick, a person discharging managerial responsibility at JD Wetherspoon plc, exercised 3,924 options to subscribe to ordinary 2p shares, the exercise consisted of 3,924 options at 361p.  

Mr Capstick immediately sold the shares at a price of 416.5p per share.

Following this transaction, Mr Capstick's interest remains 36,869 ordinary shares in the Company.

On Friday 16 July 2010 Rebecca Payton, a person discharging managerial responsibility at JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 6,329 of the Company's ordinary shares at a price of 420p per share.

Following this transaction, Mrs Payton now holds an interest of 14,670 ordinary shares in the Company.
