The Company announces that Tim Martin, Chairman of JD Wetherspoon plc, purchased
297,127 ordinary shares in the Company at 333.88p per share on 7 January 2008.


Following this transaction, Mr Martin now holds an interest in 32,569,934
ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 23.01% of the
Company's issued share capital.
