                           Exercise of Share Options


Westmount Energy Limited ('Westmount' or 'the Company') announces that options
over a total of 125,000 10p ordinary shares in Westmount have been exercised at
a price of 33.5p per share by a former director of Westmount Resources, Inc.

Application has been made to the Stock Exchange for quotation of these new
125,000 shares on the AIM market.

Following these transactions the total number of 10p ordinary shares of
Westmount in issue total 15,013,361. The Company has no further share options
outstanding.
