Record Visitors and Enquiries for Westminster International website

Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or 'the Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to give an update on the performance of its recently launched Westminster International 'Generation 2' website.

The rationale for Westminster's flotation on the AIM Market of London Stock Exchange was to raise additional capital to expand the global marketing operations of the Group, to include the re-launch of Westminster International's website.

Since the launch of the new website in April 2009, which is now considered one of the largest security/defence websites of its kind, Westminster has seen an increase in online enquiries of 89% and an increase in online sales of 62% (for the comparative period of May to December 2009 versus May to December 2008).

The new website, which was a case-study of the Microsoft Corporation, has delivered repeat record-breaking months in unique website visitors, with the month of January 2010 showing unique visitor numbers at a near threefold increase on the monthly average visitor numbers of the Generation 1 site.

Website visibility of the Westminster International site is also much improved. On Google, the world's number 1 search engine, Westminster's products and services list forty-one Number 1 Rankings in its key areas of expertise, including: Baggage Scanners, Diver Detection, Pipeline Security, Fire Alarm Testing Equipment and Mine Detection Equipment. 241 Westminster products/services are also appearing on page 1 of leading search engines. This performance is key to achieving customer awareness and emphasising the importance Westminster plays in the delivering information to the international security market.

Commenting on the performance Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:

"The new web site has been instrumental in supporting an ever growing network of agents and clients with updated product and solution information.  Our representatives in target markets are often working in hostile environments with inconsistent postal and delivery systems.  We are now able to deliver significant volumes of information which can be updated instantaneously and can respond to changes in client specifications without significant inconvenience, delay and cost.

"It significantly extends our reach, enquiry turnaround and client engagement in a very effective and scalable way whilst demonstrating our breadth of products and services to a global market 24 hours a day."
