WEIR GROUP OBTAINS STRONG PUBLIC CREDIT RATING

The Weir Group PLC ("Weir" or "the Group") has obtained public credit ratings from Standard & Poor's and Moody's.  The Group has been rated BBB+ (stable) by Standard & Poor's and Baa1 (stable) by Moody's. 

Weir commissioned the credit ratings to expand the range of financing options available to the Group.

Weir is committed to retaining a strong investment grade credit rating and a capital structure in line with the parameters outlined in its risk appetite statement, as contained within the Group's 2013 Annual Report.
