                       Completion of CH Warman Acquisition

Further to our announcement on 4 December 2007 regarding the proposed
acquisition of CH Warman Pump Group (CHW), The Weir Group PLC confirms that
following receipt of regulatory clearance from the South African competition
authorities, the acquisition of CHW has been completed today.

Terms used in this Announcement have the same meaning as set out in the
Announcement dated 4 December 2007.
