Derek Howard-Orchard to Leave as Tech. Director

United Energy announces that Derek Howard-Orchard will from 1 December 1999
relinquish his role as Group Technical Director by mutual consent.  This
follows the withdrawal of the Group from oil and gas operations earlier this
year.  He will continue to be a Director on a non-executive basis.
