                                  BOARD CHANGE


WCWB announces that, with effect from the close of business on 30 April 2003, 
Mr W Howard Saunders will retire from his position as Private Clients Director.
However, Mr Saunders will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.


Mr Michael Sunderland, Chief Executive of WCWB, commented:


'When WCWB acquired the business of Keith, Bayley, Rogers & Co. in 2001, Howard
Saunders was its Senior Partner, having spent his entire career stretching back
to 1955 with the firm. He was instrumental in achieving the smooth assimilation
of KBR into the WCWB group. We wish him well in his retirement but look forward
to continuing to reap the benefit of his experience and wise counsel as a
Non-Executive Director.'
