Statement re share price movement



The board of WH Ireland notes the recent movement in the Company's share price
and confirms that, following an approach from a third party, the Company is in
preliminary discussions with a third party which may or may not lead to an offer
being made for the Company. It is emphasised that these talks are at a very
early stage and that there is no certainty that an offer for the Company will
result.
