Proposed Dividend Timetable

Further to the announcement of its interim results for the six months to 31 May
2005, W.H. Ireland is pleased to announce the timetable for the proposed payment
of the interim dividend of 1.25p. As previously announced, W.H. Ireland is once
again offering shareholders a scrip dividend alternative in respect of the 
interim dividend.

Expected Timetable of Events

Shares quoted 'ex dividend'                                      7th September
Record date                                                      9th September
Posting of forms of election to receive scrip dividend           16th September
Final date for receipt of forms of election                       11th October
Payment date                                                      28th October

It is anticipated that further details of the scrip dividend alternative will be
sent to shareholders in line with the timetable set out above.
