Appointment of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Deputy Chairman


WH Ireland is today pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Ford as Chief Executive Officer of WH Ireland, and Laurie Beevers as Executive Deputy Chairman of WH Ireland, no later than 16 November 2008, subject to appropriate FSA approvals being received.


Richard Andrew Ford, aged 41 years, is currently Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Spencer House Capital Management LLP, the independent Asset Management partnership, and has been since 2006.


Richard is also a Director of Spencer House Compass Capital Limited, Tau Cayman Limited and Scion Films Sale and Leaseback Sixth LLP.


Previously Richard was Founding Partner and Managing Partner/Chief Operating Officer of ORN Capital LLP, the London-based Investment Management firm, ORN Services Limited, Director and Head of Corporate Headquarters for Fidelity International Limited in Bermuda and Head of Group Legal and Compliance for GAM, the international Investment Management firm. Richard was also Director of Envirogroup UK Limited and Envirogroup Limited


Richard, a qualified barrister, graduated from the London School of Economics with an honours degree in Economics and studied law at the University of Westminster (CPE) and the Inns of Court School of Law (BUC).


Richard will succeed Laurie Beevers, current Chief Executive who will assume the position of Executive Deputy Chairman no later than 16 November 2008. Laurie will continue to have particular responsibility for the stock broking operations.


Commenting on the appointment of Richard Ford, Rupert Lowe, Chairman said:

As at the date of this announcement, Richard Ford holds 100,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') and is to be granted 850,000 performance-related share options over Ordinary Shares on his appointment.


There is no further information to be disclosed under Schedule 2(g) of the AIM rules.
