                                 Board changes


Vp plc, the equipment rental specialist, today announces a number of changes to
the Board.

Jeremy Pilkington, currently Chairman and Chief Executive, will become Executive
Chairman.

Neil Stothard, currently Group Finance Director, has been appointed Group
Managing Director with responsibility for the operational management of the
Group's five businesses.

Mike Holt, has been appointed Group Finance Director.  This is an executive
position on the Vp plc Board.

Mike Holt, who is 43 years old, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur
Andersen and joins Vp from Rolls-Royce Group plc, where he has held a number of
executive positions since 1993, most recently as Finance Director of their
procurement division.

Jeremy Pilkington, Chairman and Chief Executive, commented:  'The Group's
activities have grown to a size and diversity where the Board now considers it
appropriate to strengthen the senior management team.   We believe that this new
management structure will assist us to take full advantage of the many growth
opportunities that we continue to identify.'

The above changes will take effect from 5 July 2004.

There are no other disclosures required under paragraph 16.4 and 16.5 of The
Listing Rules.
