DIRECTORATE CHANGES

The Board of Volex Group plc (the 'Company') today announces the following changes to its Board of Directors:

Karen Slatford will be appointed a non-executive director with effect from 27 May 2008.  Karen will also be a member of the Nominations Committee. 

Karen Slatford is currently the Chairman of Neverfail Group and an EMEA Advisory Board member of Ciena Networks. Karen was previously a non-executive director of HAL Knowledge Solutions and went on to become Executive Chairman of that organisation until November 2006. She was also Chairman of Portwise AB until September 2006, and was a non-executive director of The Listening Company, Compel Group PLC and Via Networks.  

Between 1983 and 2001, Karen was employed by Hewlett Packard Ltd and, whilst working across various capacities and roles, was focused on improving the Group's sales and marketing throughout both the UK and globally.  In 2000 Karen was appointed Chairman of Hewlett Packard UK Ltd and also undertook the position of Vice President and General Manager Worldwide of Sales and Marketing, Business Customer Organisation until 2001.

Craig Mullett has informed the Board that he intends to retire as a director, which will take effect on 30 June 2008.

Craig Mullett joined the Board in June 2005 and has throughout demonstrated dedication to both the Board and the Business. I would like to thank Craig for the significant contribution he has made.'
