              SUBSIDIARY BOARD APPOINTMENTS


Vodafone AirTouch Plc announces that, at the Supervisory Board
Meeting of Mannesmann AG ('Mannesmann') held today, Chris Gent
was appointed Chairman. In addition, Ken Hydon, Lord MacLaurin
of  Knebworth and Wilhelm Haarmann have also been appointed to
the Mannesmann Supervisory Board.

These appointments replace Joachim Funk, Heinz Durr, Klaus Liesen
and Heinz Riesenhuber as members of the Mannesmann Supervisory
Board.
