       VODAFONE INCREASES SHAREHOLDING IN VODAFONE LIBERTEL N.V. BY 4.8%

Vodafone Group Plc ('Vodafone') announced earlier today an offer for the shares
it does not already own in Vodafone Libertel N.V. ('Libertel').  Following that
announcement, Vodafone has acquired additional shares at a price of EUR 11.00
per share, increasing its shareholding in Libertel from approximately 77.6% to
approximately 82.4%.
