Directors' Notification of Dealing in Shares

Vodafone AirTouch Plc ('the Company')

In accordance with Section 329 of the Companies Act 1985, I have to inform you
that today Mr Peter Richard Bamford, a director of this Company, exercised an
option granted to him under the Company's Executive Share Option Scheme in
July 1997 at an option price of 58.7p per share. Subsequently, 2,339 ordinary
shares of US$0.10 each were sold at a price of 309p per share, 48,661 shares
being retained.

As a result of this transaction Mr Bamford has an interest, including
unexercised share options, in 1,248,968 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each in the
Company.
