Vodafone AirTouch Plc ('the Company')

The Company announces that Arun Sarin, an executive director of the Company,
has today received a restricted stock award of 3,040,150 ordinary shares of
US$0.10 each in the Company pursuant to the rules of the Vodafone AirTouch
1999 Long Term Stock Incentive Plan at a price of 330.25p per share.

From the award, 104,015 shares will vest immediately and of the balance one
third will vest on 5 July 2000 and the remaining two thirds will vest on 5
July 2001.

Mr Sarin now has an interest in 16,657,350 shares
