 1. In accordance with Section 329 of the Companies Act 1985, I have to inform
    you that the Company was advised on 12 August 2003 by Natwest administrators
    of Personal Equity Plans and Individual Saving Accounts that on 12 August
    2003, Mr J M Horn-Smith, a director of the Company, acquired 17 ordinary
    shares of US$0.10 each in the Company at the price of 119.25 per share.

 2. In accordance with Section 329 of the Companies Act 1985, I have to inform
    you that the Company was advised on 14 August 2003 by Barclays Private
    Banking Limited that on 8 August 2003, Mr K J Hydon, a director of the
    Company, acquired 11,381 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each through his
    participation in the Company's Dividend Reinvestment Plan, for which each
    share was valued at 118.557p.
