    CLOSING OF VODAFONE'S ACQUISITION OF 34.5% OF MEXICO'S GRUPO IUSACELL

Vodafone Group Plc ('Vodafone') announces that following the necessary
regulatory approvals and the transfer today of the cash consideration of
$973.4 million to the Peralta Group, the acquisition of its 34.5% stake in
Grupo Iusacell has closed.
