Vodafone AirTouch PLC 4 April 2000 VODAFONE AIRTOUCH ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES Vodafone AirTouch Plc announces that, following the completion of its transaction with Bell Atlantic which combines the US cellular, paging and PCS businesses, Arun Sarin, Chief Executive Americas and Asia Pacific Region of Vodafone AirTouch, plans to leave the Company on 15 April 2000. He will remain a member of the Vodafone AirTouch Plc Board as a non-executive Director. Chris Gent, Chief Executive of Vodafone AirTouch Plc, commented; 'As President and Chief Operating Officer of AirTouch, Arun made an enormous contribution to the development of the Company and played a key role in the subsequent successful merger with Vodafone. During his time with Vodafone he has been instrumental in achieving the combination of our US wireless assets with those of Bell Atlantic and laying the foundations for our new era of growth in data and internet services. I am delighted that Arun will continue to provide the Board with his experience and guidance.' With effect from 15 April 2000 the Americas and Asia Pacific Region will be managed as follows: * Bill Keever, currently Executive Vice President, Network & Systems Operations, will be appointed President Americas and Asia Pacific Region for Vodafone AirTouch and will become a member of the Board of Verizon Wireless, the US Wireless joint venture with Bell Atlantic. * Brian Clark will remain Chief Executive, Vodafone Pacific Pty Limited with responsibility for the Group's interests in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. * Tomas Isaksson, President Global Platform and Internet Services, will continue to have responsibility for the design, development and launch of the Group wide portal and internet service as previously announced. These three appointments will report directly to Chris Gent.
