VODAFONE AIRTOUCH AND VIVENDINET ANNOUNCE AGREEMENT ON MULTI-ACCESS
                        INTERNET PORTAL


Vodafone AirTouch Plc and VivendiNet S.A. (a joint venture between
Vivendi  and Canal+) announce that the agreement has been  signed
relating  to  the  first European multi-access  internet  portal.
Further  details  will be announced at a press conference  today,
which  will  be  hosted by Evan Newmark, Chief Executive  of  the
multi-access portal, Jean-Marie Messier, Chief Executive  Officer
of  Vivendi and Chris Gent, Chief Executive of Vodafone AirTouch 
at 15.00 CET at Espace Vivendi, 6-8 rue de Tilsit, Paris 75008, France.
