Vodafone Group Plc ('the Company')


Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for a total of 25,000,000 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each in the
capital of the Company ('shares') to be admitted to the Official List.  It is
expected that admission will be granted on 7 October 2005 and that dealings will
commence on 10 October 2005.


These shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as a
result of the exercise of options pursuant to the Vodafone Group Plc executive
share option schemes.


When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares
of the Company.
