Vodafone Group Plc - Block Listing Application


Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for a total of 79,672,820 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each ('
shares') to be admitted to the Official List.  It is expected that admission
will be granted on 20 October 2004 and that dealings will commence on 21 October
2004.

These shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as a
result of the exercise of share options pursuant to the Vodafone Group 1998
Sharesave Scheme (2,672,820 shares) and the Vodafone Group Plc 1999 Long Term
Stock Incentive Plan (77,000,000).

When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares.
