Director shareholding

The Company was today notified that D J Ritchie, an Executive Director,
exercised an award over 4,285 Ordinary Shares in the Company under the terms of
the Bovis Homes Group Long Term Incentive Plan yesterday, 13 April 2005. The
total consideration for these shares was £1. Having sold 1,766 shares at 676.5p
per share on 13 April 2005 to meet the PAYE liability only, D J Ritchie retained
the maximum number of shares and his resultant holding has increased by 2,519
shares to 20,874 shares.
