The Company was notified on 9 June 2003 that M R Harris, an Executive Director,
exercised options over ordinary shares in the Company under the terms of the
Bovis Homes Group PLC Executive Share Option Scheme on 9 June 2003 as follows:

               81,218                               £2.955

Having sold 130,067 shares at a price of £4.19 per share on 9 June 2003 to meet
the option cost and PAYE liability M R Harris retained the maximum number of
shares. His resultant holding has increased by 29,571 shares.

Following this transaction, M R Harris' shareholding in the Company has
increased to 235,034 shares.
