BOVIS HOMES GROUP PLC ('the Company')

The Company received notification on 5 April 2002 that R N Walford, Executive
Director, exercised options over 42,944 ordinary shares in the Company under the
Bovis Homes Group Executive Share Option Scheme on 5 April 2002 at an exercise
price of 278.5p per share.

Of his resulting holding, R N Walford sold 34,428 shares on 5 April 2002 at a
price of 418p per share.

Following this transaction, R N Walford has increased his shareholding in the
Company and now holds 71,202 ordinary shares.
