                             Directors' dealings


Bovis Homes was notified on 5 January 2001 that P D Baker and B M Johnson had
each exercised options over 100,000 shares in Bovis Homes.


Of their resulting holdings, P D Baker sold 72,790 shares and B M Johnson sold
85,000 shares, in each case at a price of 370 pence.


As a result, both directors have increased their holdings in Bovis Homes; P D
Baker now holds 53,314 shares and B M Johnson holds 38,104 shares.
