Senior Management Appointment at 

Vietnam Holding Asset Management, Ltd.

Vietnam Holding Limited (the 'Company') (AIM: VNH) today announces the appointment of Mr. Vu Quang Thinh as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its investment manager, Vietnam Holding Asset Management, Ltd. (VNHAM), with effect from July 4, 2011.

Mr. Thinh is a seasoned financial manager with more than twenty years experience in investment management, consulting and financial analysis.

Most recently as part of the Saigon Invest Group, he was CEO of SGI Capital, an investment management company. He was previously the Managing Partner of MCG Management Consulting with clients throughout Vietnam. Mr. Thinh earlier led the Vietnam management consulting practice of KPMG. 

Commenting on the appointment, Mrs. Min Hwa Kupfer, Chairperson of VNH, said,

"We could not be more pleased to announce that Vu Quang Thinh is joining the VNH group in this key position. He has been known to many of our VNH and VNHAM Board members for several years. They have worked with him on high level projects, and observed the skills, business acumen, and personal integrity that will be a valuable contribution to our organization and to the future success of the fund. "

Mr. Thinh holds a BA degree in Mathematical Economics from Hanoi Economics University and an MBA from Washington State University.

VNHAM is an investment management company with offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Zurich. It is solely focused on managing the Vietnam equities fund of Vietnam Holding, Ltd. A closed end fund listed on AIM and the Entry Standard market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
