AGM Statement

At the AGM to be held later today, Min-Hwa Hu Kupfer, Chairperson of VietNam Holding Limited (AIM: VNH) will make the following statement.

"We believe that Vietnam is entering a new and exciting stage in the country's economic development.  As the effects of recent welcome changes in government policy begin to take effect and investors regain confidence, the market is poised to realize its potential after years of disappointing returns.  This belief is supported by the positive performance of the VNI since August. 

"Vietnam Holding provides interested investors with the best opportunity to capture the upside potential of equities in this exciting emerging market.   The diverse companies in our well- constructed portfolio represent compelling long term investment cases.

"We also announce today that Jean-Christophe Ganz, who has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of the investment manager, Vietnam Holding Asset Management, Ltd. (VNHAM) since March 2009, has stepped into the role of Chairman. Donald Van Stone, who has served as Chairman since September 2008, will re-assume the role of Vice-Chairman. I would like to welcome Mr. Ganz to this important new position. We thank Mr. Van Stone for his hard work and commitment during his chairmanship and look forward to his continued contribution to the company."
