Re: Directorate Change

Mr. Stanley Chou has informed the Board that he will step down as Chair of the Company and resign from the Board, both effective 30 June 2022. Mr. Chou had served as a director of Vietnam Growth Fund Limited, a fund also managed by the Dragon Capital Group, until its merger with VEIL, following which Mr. Chou joined the Board of VEIL in January 2016.

The Board would like to thank Mr. Chou for his valuable contribution during his time on the Board, and his guidance as Chair, during which time the Company has significantly grown its assets under management, including via the merger with Vietnam Growth Fund Limited, and has also listed on the Official List and admitted its shares to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

The Board has elected Mr. Gordon Lawson, currently senior independent non-executive director, to replace Mr. Chou as Chair of the Company after Mr. Chou steps down on 30 June 2022. Ms. Entela Benz-Saliasi shall replace Mr. Lawson as the senior independent non-executive director. All Directors will again offer themselves for re-election (or in the case of Sarah Arkle, election) to the Board at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company in accordance with corporate governance best practice.

In light of the above changes, the Board of Directors is also pleased to announce that, with effect from 1 July 2022, the Board committees will be reconstituted as follows:
