The Vitec Group PLC 8 August 2001 8 August 2001 The Vitec Group plc The Vitec Group plc announces that Mr Lino Manfrotto has today resigned as a non-executive director. On 15 June 2001 Mr Manfrotto sold 35,000 shares in the Company, part of a total holding of 2,573,374 shares, without having received the permission of the Chairman for the dealing, as required by the Model Code. Mr Manfrotto very much regrets this breach of the Financial Services Authority's rules and, having served on the Board of the Company for more than ten years, has therefore decided to bring forward his retirement date. The Board of The Vitec Group plc has accepted Mr Manfrotto's resignation with regret and wishes to thank Mr Manfrotto for his enormous contribution to the Group over the last ten years and the key role he has played throughout that period in the successful growth of its photographic business. Mr Manfrotto has stressed that he and his family do not intend to make any substantial reduction in the size of their shareholding in the Company in the short to medium term.
