                 Nigel Moore appointed Non Executive Director


Mr Nigel Moore has been appointed as a Non Executive Director of The Vitec Group
plc with immediate effect.

Mr Moore, 59, is a chartered accountant with significant experience in the UK
and internationally.  He was a London based partner at Ernst & Young for many
years and held several senior management roles during that time.

Mr Moore is also chairman of a small plc and a trustee of the Butten Trust.

Alison Carnwath, Chairman of The Vitec Group, said:

'We are delighted to welcome Nigel Moore to our board.  His experience as a
former partner at Ernst & Young and his general commercial knowledge will be of
great benefit to the Audit Committee and to the Group.'

It is confirmed, pursuant to the Listing Rules, that Mr Moore does not have any
disclosure to be made under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g), inclusive, of the
Listing Rules.
