Simon Beresford-Wylie appointed Non-Executive Director


The Vitec Group plc announces that Simon Beresford-Wylie will join the Board on
1 March 2006. Mr Beresford-Wylie is currently Executive Vice President & General
Manager, Networks for Nokia and a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board,
based in Helsinki.

He has spent much of his career in Australia, India and South East Asia and will
bring extensive experience of those countries and of developing technology
businesses. Mr Beresford-Wylie will succeed John Potter, who will step down from
the Board following the AGM in May after 7 years of valuable service to the
Board through a period of considerable change and development.


Michael Harper, Chairman of Vitec, said:

Mr Beresford-Wylie has advised the Company that he does not have any disclosures
to make under the Listing Rules LR 9.6.13R (1) to LR 9.6.13R (6).
