Maria C Richter appointed Non-Executive Director


The Vitec Group plc announces that Maria Richter will join the Board on 28
February 2007.


Ms Richter is currently a non-executive director of National Grid plc and The
Pantry Inc. Originally trained in law, much of her career has been spent in the
USA and South America working for Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers.


Ms Richter will succeed Sir David Bell, who will step down from the Board
following the AGM in May after 10 years of valuable service to the Board through
a period of considerable change and development.


Michael Harper, Chairman of Vitec, said:

development of Vitec and wish him every success in the future.


'We welcome Maria Richter to the Board. I am sure that her enthusiasm and broad
experience in international corporate finance will assist in the further

Ms Richter has advised the Company that she does not have any disclosures to
make under the Listing Rules LR 9.6.13R (1) to LR 9.6.13R (6).
