Victrex  plc  announces  that Peter Harper,  non-executive  Deputy
Chairman  of the Company, will be retiring from the Board  at  the
end of March 2000.

Peter  Harper  joined the Board on the flotation of  Victrex  five
years  ago  and  has played an important role in its  development.
The  Company is most grateful for Peter's contribution and  wishes
him well in the future.
