                                 AGM Statement

At the Annual General Meeting of Victrex plc to be held today, Chairman Peter
Warry will make the following statement:

'The increased sales volume we experienced at the beginning of the year has been
sustained. Accordingly, we remain confident that first half volume will be above
the second half of last year.'

The Company's interim trading update for the six months to 31 March 2006 will be
issued on Wednesday 5 April 2006.
