Velti accelerates global growth with major operator wins

Multi-million dollar engagements across the world

 

December 21, 2010: Dublin, Ireland and San Francisco, California - Velti (AIM:VEL), a leading global provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology, announced today that it has won significant contracts with several of the world's largest mobile telecommunications operators.

 

Customer wins include: top global operators T-Mobile, Vodafone, MTS, O2 Orange, Qatar Telecom (Qtel), Zain, Orascom Group's Mobilink & Djezzy Etisalat, Mobinil, and Globalcom (Glo).

 

The wins represent a mix of new business from operators Velti has worked with in the past as well as new customers. Velti expects the combined contract wins to contribute approximately $10 million in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2010.

 

The mobile marketing campaigns are individually designed to stimulate, strengthen and effectively monetize each operator's relationship with their mobile subscribers by creating an interactive, loyal and stable audience.

 

To deliver these campaigns, Velti is leveraging Velti mGage™ - its carrier grade Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based mobile marketing platform. The flexibility and robust nature of mGage enables operators to offer strongly differentiated, totally customized programs in highly competitive markets. In the first six months of 2010, more than 525 brands, ad agencies, mobile operators and media companies used the mGage platform to conduct over 1,200 campaigns. 13 of the 20 largest mobile operators worldwide have now worked with Velti, which has the ability to reach 2.5 billion consumers in over 30 countries.
