Re Directorate

IBNet PLC 15 October 2001 IBNet plc IBNET TO OPEN SINGAPORE OFFICE IBNet plc ('IBNet'), the corporate intelligence and Internet surveillance Company, today announces that Robert Nayler, Technical Director, has stepped down as a director of the company with immediate effect. Commenting on the board change, Mark Ommanney, Chief Executive said: ' As we announced at our preliminary results we have now completed the development of version two of our Netdetec product in which Rob Nayler was key. Following the completion of this sizeable task, Rob has been focusing on other opportunities for the company. In anticipation of this change, Mike Patton was promoted to the role of Chief Technical Officer at the time of our preliminary results. ' Rob has been researching extensively on the development of new markets for IBNet's products and services. We have had considerable interest from potential clients in Singapore, a country with an extensive Internet culture. This, coupled with the huge level of interest in major sports and brands, offers IBNet tremendous potential with our range of Internet monitoring products. To capitalise on this potential, Rob is planning the opening of an office for an IBNet franchise operation in Singapore. ' IBNet's flexible technology can be easily adapted for foreign markets. South East Asian commercial centres have some of the highest penetrations of Internet usage in the world. In particular, the Internet presence of major corporations, and their potential for abuse are significant. We believe the opportunities for IBNet in the South East Asian market, particularly with expansion into China over the next few years, are extensive. We look forward to updating shareholders on the progress of the Singapore office in the future.' - Ends - Date: 15th October 2001 For further information contact: IBNet PLC City Profile Group Mark Ommanney, Chief Executive Ed Senior 020-7629-7676 Simon Courtenay web: www.ibnetplc.com 020-7448-3244 e-mail: edward.senior@city-profile.com
