Transaction in Own Shares

Utilico Emerging Markets Limited (the "Company") announces that it purchased for cancellation 1,500,885 ordinary shares on 16 June 2010 at a price of 130.0p per share.  The Company also purchased for cancellation on 16 June 2010, 381,613 S Shares and 1,279,084 warrants both at 30p per S Share/warrant.

Following these purchases the Company's issued share capital consists of 201,811,934 ordinary shares with voting rights, 8,225,096 S Shares and 27,808,050 warrants

The above figure (201,811,934) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interests in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
