Transaction in Own Shares

Utilico Emerging Markets Limited ("the "Company") announces that it purchased for cancellation  400,000 ordinary shares on 16 December 2009 and a further 500,000 ordinary shares today both at a price of 123.25p per share.  

Following these purchases the Company's issued share capital consists of 212,128,513 ordinary shares with voting rights.

The above figure (212,128,513) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interests in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
