DIRECTOR'S DEALING

The Company was today informed that on 11 May, Michael Corke purchased 500,000
ordinary shares of 10 pence each in United Overseas Group plc at a purchase
price of 20p per share.

These purchases represent a total holding of 0.36 per cent. of the authorised
issued share capital of the Company.
