The Unite Group plc ('the Company')


The Company has applied to the UK Listing Authority for 4,843 ordinary shares of
25p each, pursuant to the Scrip Dividend election, to be admitted to the
Official List, and to the London Stock Exchange for trading.  These shares will
rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company and dealings
are expected to commence on 14 May 2002.
