UNILEVER ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF US$ 1 BILLION BOND ISSUE

Unilever announced the closure today (12 November 2002) of the 5.90% US$ 1
billion bond due 2032, issued by Unilever Capital Corporation and guaranteed
jointly and severally by Unilever N.V., Unilever PLC and Unilever United States,
Inc., which was launched on 4 November 2002.
