                          HOLDING IN CASTINGS P.L.C.

Lupus Capital plc ('Lupus') announces that it purchased, on Thursday 29
November 2001, 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in Castings P.L.C.
('Castings'), a supplier of spheroidal graphite and malleable iron castings,
representing 2.30% of the issued share capital for a total cash consideration
of £1,390,000. Following this purchase, Lupus's total holding in Castings is
1,350,000 ordinary shares of 10p each, representing 3.10% of the issued share
capital of Castings. The purchase of the shares falls within Lupus's stated
strategy and consideration will be satisfied from Lupus's existing resources.
