TT electronics PLC 30 October 2001 TT electronics plc Development of New Steering Wheel Sensor TT electronics, a world leader in resistor and sensor technology, announces it is to develop a new range of steering wheel sensors following a licensing agreement with Transense Technologies. TT electronics is a global leader in the development of steering wheel sensors, which it commenced manufacturing in 1999. It is currently producing in excess of 600,000 units annually, which following recent contract wins will increase to over 1.7million units by 2004. TT electronics has recently acquired a license from Transense Technologies for the use of its patented Surface Acoustic Wave technology to develop next generation electric power steering sensors, which will reduce overall system costs and improve reliability. TT electronics steering sensors complement the company's wide range of automotive sensors and systems which include electronic pedal module sensors, chassis height sensors and a wide range of position sensors.
