The Board of TT Group PLC announces that it has exercised
part of the authority to purchase its own shares given at
the Annual General meeting held on 13 May 1999 by the
Special Resolution set out in the Notice of the Meeting
on page 47 of the Annual Report 1998. TT Group plc has
today Monday 27 March 2000 acquired in the market a
further 900,000 of its ordinary shares for cancellation
at 91p per share.
Further to the Group's preliminary results statement of
Monday 27 March and media comment surrounding this, the
Group confirms that part of its strategy is to sell non
core businesses including its packaging interests and is
hoping to achieve sale proceeds of more than £70 million.
