TT electronics plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Crowther FCA
as an independent non-executive director. David Crowther replaces Mark Evans who
has today retired from the Board.

David Crowther recently retired as a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In
July 2004 he was appointed to the Professional Oversight Board for Accountancy,
part of the Financial Reporting Council. He will, in future, chair the meetings
of the TT electronics audit committee and also serve on the remuneration and
nomination committees.

The Board would like to thank Mark Evans for the valuable contribution he has
made to the group since his appointment in November 1997 and wish him a long and
happy retirement.
