                 Annual General Meeting

At  the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today,
John Newman, Chairman, made the following comments:

'  Last year's trading was disappointing but the Group is
pleased to inform shareholders that trading in the  first
four months of the year has improved.'

'  The  disposal programme which the Group  announced  in
March  is proceeding and TT Group will now focus  on  its
electrical  and electronic components businesses  in  the
future.  BI  Technologies, which  TT  Group  acquired  in
January,   has  strengthened  the  Group's  presence   in
electronic   components  and  is  performing   ahead   of
expectations.'

'  The  Board  believes that these strategic  moves  will
result in consistent growth for the long term.
