As already announced on 4 October 2006 Glasgow Income Trust PLC ("GIT") is
aiming to increase its net assets to above £100 million via a new issue. The
offer is expected to open around the beginning of November 2006.  GIT expects to
be able to announce further details of the proposed issue in due course.
