Changes to the Board of Directors

The Board of Troy Income & Growth Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Jann Brown as a non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Company with effect from 18 January 2013.

Jann joined Cairn Energy PLC as Group Tax Manager in 1998 after a career in the accountancy profession, mainly with KPMG. She was appointed Finance Director of Cairn Energy in 2006 before becoming Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer in July 2011. She holds an MA from Edinburgh University and a Diploma in Accounting from Heriot Watt University. She is Vice President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Jann has served on the Boards both of listed companies and of charitable organisations. She was Senior Independent Director of Hansen Transmissions International NV until December 2011, when that company was taken over.

There is no further information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment. 

In addition to this appointment, as previously announced, Ian Boyd has retired from the Board following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting held today, 18 January 2013. Ian was Audit Committee Chairman and had been a non-executive Director of the Company since May 1990.
